QA/QC Specialist

VEERUM is committed to the visualization, centralization, and optimization of asset data. We are searching for a QA/QC Specialist to join our QA team and work with the development and product services teams to deliver VEERUM solutions to our clients.

Please note: This is a parental leave coverage for 12 - 15 months, with the possibility of an extension.

​

The day-to-day activities of a QA/QC specialist will include:

  • Understand how all of VEERUM’s existing client-facing features work

  • Understand how VEERUM’s product release cycle works

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents and provide feedback

  • Participate in test management processes to estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities

  • Design, implement, and execute test cases - manual

  • Design, develop, and execute automation test scripts

  • Identify, record, and document unintended behaviours

  • Monitor and analyze logs to identify and report recurring issues

  • Collaborate with Development and Product services teams to deliver quality and timely solutions

The right candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications on their resume:

  • Experience in software development and/or software testing

  • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools

  • Troubleshoot skills and ability to work with teammates to resolve issues

  • Understanding of Software development lifecycle and Software testing lifecycle

  • Experience designing and developing robust tests and testing plans

  • Experience with Agile development environment

  • Knowledge or experience with Database queries SQL/No SQL

  • Knowledge of Chrome dev tools and error logging tools such as DataDog

  • Experience/ knowledge using software devices Mac/Windows/iPads/Tablets/Mobile

  • Knowledge of SaaS Product testing

Additional qualifications that would be considered strong assets include:

  • Basic knowledge of automation testing approaches, techniques, and tools

  • Knowledge of Backend testing or using CLIs

  • Knowledge of API testing using any tools such as Postman or Swagger

  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail

  • Good communication skills
