As VEERUM’s next Payroll and Office Manager, you will impact operations, support finance, and most importantly, have a lasting impact on an incredible culture.

Reporting to and partnering with the Controller, the right candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a team that is values-driven, providing a SOLID work environment, including support, optimism, listening, innovation, and dedication.

​

The Payroll and Office Manager will thrive in a hybrid environment where they can roll up their sleeves, support 50+ individuals across the US and Canada and ensure consistency is top of mind as they support a fast-scaling organization.

​

The day-to-day activities of the Payroll and Office Manager will include:

  • Payroll Administration: Update, maintain, and run on a semi-monthly basis, payroll for 50+ permanent team members.

  • Benefits Administration: Update, run audits, and terminate benefits for team members. Answer basic questions and help team members to submit claims.

  • Procurement: Manage and provide support to the entire team

  • Onboarding and Offboarding Team Members: Ensuring a good first impression of the company for new team members but ensuring all details are taken care of before they arrive. Supporting the transition of team members who are leaving by consistently following processes.

  • General Office Support: While the role is hybrid, keeping the office managed, stocked properly, and supported for those that choose to go in will be required on a weekly basis.

The right candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications on their resume:

  • 5+ years in an administrative or office environment

  • Exposure and understanding of payroll

  • Responsible for completing reports

  • Understanding of procurement and procurement needs of companies

  • Completed payroll courses would be considered an asset

  • Understanding and exposure to benefits and benefits administration would be considered an asset

VEERUM offers:
