Who we are looking for

The Solution Specialist is a member of the VEERUM client solutions and services team, supporting the delivery of the VEERUM Digital Twin platform and applications to our clients. In addition to providing an epic customer experience via direct client services, your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities

 

Technical solution delivery:

  • Processing photogrammetry data including knowledge of ground control, ground truthing, error sources and other technical aspects of photogrammetry.

  • Completing survey calculations such as volumetrics, COGO, least squares, heatmaps, etc.

  • Conducting QA and QC of data for ingestion into the VEERUM Digital Twin.

  • Preparing technical reports for presentation to clients,

  • Writing summaries, calculating, tabulating and displaying results.

  • Processing CAD designs, reality scans and other 3D data into geo referenced point clouds.

 

Client experience:

  • Directly interface with clients to ensure delivery of an epic customer experience.

 

Product support:

  • Working with product development to continuously improve the VEERUM solution and drive maximum client value.

 

Experience you’ll bring to the table

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a Geographic Science focus such as GeoMatics, GIS, etc.

  • At least 3+ years of experience in a similar role interacting with industrial clients in the Mining, Oil and Gas, Energy, Utilities or Construction industries.

  • Demonstrated GIS software knowledge; e.g., MapInfo, QGIS, etc…

  • Demonstrated experience with geospatial ETL or 3D WebGL software; e.g., FME, Potree, etc..

  • Demonstrated experience being able to deliver epic customer service.

  • Experience with least squares, control networks, error sources, and other geomatics related concepts

  • Experience in office applications (e.g. Google Docs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to read, analyze, write, and interpret technical reports and manuals

 

NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with Scripting and Programming Languages: Javascript, C#, JSON, MySQL. Python

  • Experience, training or certification in ITIL customer service processes.

  • An interest in exploring new advancements in geospatial processing and finding ways to incorporate it into the VEERUM solution
